Community Toilet Scheme Application 2019 pdf icon PDF 145 KB

To consider report PP2/20 from the Assistant Director Commissioning and Technical Services which is attached and which asks the Portfolio Holder to consider applications to join the Community Toilet Scheme, from Bampton Shop and Tea Room; Nenthead Community Toilets; Garrigill Village Hall; Melmerby Stores and Tea Room; Kirkoswald Bridge Stores Ltd; Orton Parish Council – Orton Market Hall PCs. Waterside Farm and Campsite, Howtown and Eden Rural Foyer, Penrith.

 

RECOMMENDATION that:

 

1          It is recommended that the application details be considered and admission to the Community Toilet Scheme be approved as set out in paragraph 1.1 above, subject to sites rejected in paragraph 2.3 below.

2          the recommended grant amounts be awarded and subsequently back dated to April 2019.

3.         The applications for Waterside Farm and Campsite and Eden Rural Foyer be declined.

Collection of Garden Waste: Skip Service pdf icon PDF 151 KB

To consider report PP1/20 from the Assistant Director Commissioning and Technical Services which is attached and which asks the Portfolio Holder to undertake an annual review to consider the continuation of extending garden waste recycling to those properties that currently do not benefit from a kerbside collection.

 

This is an urgent item, and its inclusion has been agreed by the Chairman of the Scrutiny Co-ordinating Board.

 

RECOMMENDATIONS that:

 

1          A garden waste skip service continues to be provided to those eligible villages, namely, Threlkeld, Bampton, Skirwith, Mungrisdale, Glenridding, Pooley Bridge, Milburn, Knock, Dufton, Murton, Hilton, Great Asby, Skelton, Ravenstonedale,  Nateby and Warcop which are not served by a kerbside or an alternative garden waste collection.

2          Ivegill, Calthwaite and Soulby are also eligible villages should any of those parishes request the service.
