Declarations of Interest

To receive declarations of the existence and nature of any private interests, both disclosable pecuniary interests and any other registrable interests, in any matter to be considered or being considered.

To consider attached Report No DCE09/22 of the Assistant Director Delivery, which is an annual review about the continuation of extending garden waste recycling to those properties that currently do not benefit from a kerbside collection.

 

RECOMMENDED that

 

1.            a garden waste skip service continues to be provided to those eligible villages, namely, Threlkeld, Bampton, Skirwith, Mungrisdale, Glenridding, Pooley Bridge, Milburn, Knock, Dufton, Murton, Hilton, Great Asby, Skelton, Ravenstonedale, Nateby and Warcop which are not served by a kerbside or an alternative garden waste collection;

2.            Ivegill, Calthwaite and Soulby are also eligible villages should any of those parishes request the service; and

3.            the scheme continues until a kerbside Garden Waste Collection Service is provided district-wide, or until the next review date of January 2027, where the scheme would be reviewed by the Assistant Director Delivery and reported to the Services Portfolio Holder.

Decision:

RESOLVED that
