and RESOLVED that Councillor Owen be elected as Chairman of the Human Resources and Appeals Sub-Committee for this meeting.

To receive declarations of the existence and nature of any private interests, both disclosable pecuniary and any other registrable interests, in any matter to be considered or being considered..

 

Minutes:

Councillor Robinson gave a personal explanation during private session with regard to this item as she was a personal friend of a person involved with the complaint. She left the room as soon as she realised the involvement and took no further part during the meeting.

Exclusion of the Press and Public

To consider whether, in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, members of the public (including the press) should be excluded from the meeting during discussion of the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 to Schedule 12A of the Act.

Complaint

To consider the report of the Director of Corporate Services which informs Members of the circumstances relating to this complaint.

Minutes:

The Chairman welcomed attendees to the hearing and outlined the hearing procedure.

 

Members considered report G57/19 from the Director of Corporate Services which informed them of the circumstances relating to the complaint.

 

Due to Councillor Robinson’s declaration of interest, the Chair took legal advice from the Director of Corporate Services. The meeting was declared inquorate, and would be rescheduled at a future date to be organised by the Member Services Team Leader.

 

RESOLVED that due to the meeting becoming inquorate after Councillor Robinson excused herself from the hearing, and a request for more information to be obtained, the meeting would be deferred to a later date.
